The Tank!

Super excited for my two solo shows this week: Wednesday’s Garden of Memory in Oakland. I’ll be in the Palm Garden this year near the front entrance. Then Thursday-Monday I’ll be artist in residence at The Tank Center for Performing Arts in Rangely Colorado where I’ll perform, record, and collaborate.

Russian Telegraph will be performing July 18th as part of the People in Plazas series. See you out there!

A Doozy!

Hi Everyone,

Director Camera Obscura’s Virtue is playing at the Roxie Theatre Monday, June 5th, 6:30pm, director will be on hand and has invited me to sit in on the Q&A. The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence conduct a glorious wedding ceremony of two queens:

Songbook Vol. 1

Thanks to all musicians who’ve played my music and all those who’ve supported my musical endeavors, and to fans who attend my concerts, I’ve made Songbook Vol. 1 and launched a company: All Hands on Deck Publishing.

Twenty-two songs representing a 30-year retrospective of collaborations with some of the coolest people on the planet. Check it out~ and thanks. Happy holidays!

I’m excited to announce this Saturday’s world premiere of my composition for seven clarinets entitled LOS ALTOS Y LOS BAJOS performed by Blackwood of Foothill Symphonic Winds. Just when you thought one agony pipe was enough! I will be speaking to the audience just before they start blowing so please come heckle me! This will also be the launch of the CHAMBER MUSIC division of my ALL HANDS ON DECK publishing company. Copies of the score will be available for purchase at the concert and, of course, online. Boooya!

The Theatre darling…..

I’m also very excited to announce two theatre productions that I had nothing to do with happening September 2nd: Backyard Burning Men of a Certain Age in Hyattsville, MD and Fringe of the Woods Festival in Cali, both on the same weekend….I’ve split myself in half and am attending both….I wish!

Further down the road…I’ve been asked to perform with pianists Allison Lovejoy and Kymry Esainko Saint Saens’ ‘Carnival of the Animals’ at Flower Piano in GG Park 3-4pm, September 17th.

On October 16th I’ll be at Headlands Center for the Arts in a solo performance in The Gym, 1pm in celebration of their 40th Anniversary. Honored to be invited to perform at our jewel across the bridge.

My neighbor, friend, and comrade in music David James continues his work on his beautiful SF Arts Commissioned MISSION REBELS. With the stellar GPS we’ll be presenting part II on October 16th, 7pm at luscious Glen Park’s Bird n’ Beckett Bookstore.

November 4th I’ll be at the Joe Henderson Lab at SF Jazz…..more soon about that gig!

Yours,

Beth

Thanks everyone for your kind generosity in helping me buy a new car, I’ve got wheels…and it’s a good thing because I’m performing again!

Oakland Columbarium: Garden of Memory

On Tuesday, June 21st, 5-9pm I’ll be at the annual Garden of Memory event with the venerable guitarist/composer Will Bernard. We’ll be performing in the Sanctuary of Dawn and look forward in seeing you there. Please get your tickets in advance as this very popular show will sellout.

Also on June 21st, 4pm will be the premiere of The Impresario! as part of the Frameline Film Festival. A very cool film I scored by Lauretta Molitor that celebrates the life of Marc Huestis. I worked briefly in the late 80’s with Marc at Karen Larsen Associates office. I’m so glad that this SF treasure is being given his own screen time, the story is compelling and lovely.

I’m very lucky to be a part of a burgeoning scene at The New Farm where almost every weekend there is live, outdoor, free music. Be sure and check it out. You can hike at Heron’s Head, wander through two gorgeous plant nurseries, and hear all kinds of music in The Farm’s outdoor music pavilion. Check it out!

October 15th David James‘s GPS will be at Bird and Beckett Bookstore. Always a treat to perform with this stellar group at my fav bookstore/venue! We will be presenting material from David’s Mission Rebels project.

I’m thrilled to announce on November 4th, 2022 I’ll be at @ SF Jazz Center 7pm & 8:30pm. Get your tickets here!

Cheers!

After so many months of being in hibernation I’m thrilled to report that Eighty Mile Beach released a song that Christian Jones and I wrote in Prague during my Agosto Residency and it made it on the Beatport list at #23! Have a listen!
