Beth Custer

Celebrating the release of her newly published songbook All Hands on Deck, Beth Custer performs an evening of original songs and instrumentals, including music composed for the Joe Goode Performance Group, the Left Coast Chamber Ensemble, the Beth Custer Ensemble, Clarinet Thing, the films of William Farley and Cathy Lee Crane, and more.

Joining Custer (clarinets and vocals) for the All Hands on Deck concert will be guitarist/vocalist David James, drummer John Hanes, bassist Lisa Mezzacappa, and many special guests.

Custer, ranked 13th in the DownBeat Readers Poll Clarinet category, is renowned for her work with the Club Foot Orchestra (purveyors of silent film scores), the otherworldly ensemble Trance Mission, the virtuosic quartet Clarinet Thing, the trip-hop duo Eighty Mile Beach, and the versatile
Beth Custer Ensemble.

All Hands on Deck, a collection of Custer’s compositions for dance, theatre, film, and chamber groups, will be available for purchase at the concert.
