The New Farm director, legendary pianist/singer Andy Pollack (Life After Life) and I make a rare public performance at Maracuja Gallery, Texas St./22nd St., San Francisco, CA, Friday, 8/25/23, $20, only 50 sold in advance.

I first met Andrew Pollack in November of 2019, we became fast friends playing weekly at each other homes and at The New Farm. In a way, we saved each others souls during the performers nightmare that ‘twer the grey years of lockdown! Friday you’ll hear originals and a galley of tunes from Berlin to Cale in an all acoustic setting. Wander through, gaze at Mark Hensen art, sit with 3D goggles on, to the soft, sweet, sultry sounds of piano, voices, and clarinet.

Take public transport/walk/bike/driverless car,(!) eat at many fine establishments in Dogpatch and on Potrero hill, make an evening of it! 10% of ticket sales will be donated to TheNewFarm.org.

Peace, ya’ll

The Tank!

Super excited for my two solo shows this week: Wednesday’s Garden of Memory in Oakland. I’ll be in the Palm Garden this year near the front entrance. Then Thursday-Monday I’ll be artist in residence at The Tank Center for Performing Arts in Rangely Colorado where I’ll perform, record, and collaborate.

Russian Telegraph will be performing July 18th as part of the People in Plazas series. See you out there!

Songbook Vol. 1

Thanks to all musicians who’ve played my music and all those who’ve supported my musical endeavors, and to fans who attend my concerts, I’ve made Songbook Vol. 1 and launched a company: All Hands on Deck Publishing.

Twenty-two songs representing a 30-year retrospective of collaborations with some of the coolest people on the planet. Check it out~ and thanks. Happy holidays!

I’m excited to announce this Saturday’s world premiere of my composition for seven clarinets entitled LOS ALTOS Y LOS BAJOS performed by Blackwood of Foothill Symphonic Winds. Just when you thought one agony pipe was enough! I will be speaking to the audience just before they start blowing so please come heckle me! This will also be the launch of the CHAMBER MUSIC division of my ALL HANDS ON DECK publishing company. Copies of the score will be available for purchase at the concert and, of course, online. Boooya!

The Theatre darling…..

I’m also very excited to announce two theatre productions that I had nothing to do with happening September 2nd: Backyard Burning Men of a Certain Age in Hyattsville, MD and Fringe of the Woods Festival in Cali, both on the same weekend….I’ve split myself in half and am attending both….I wish!

Further down the road…I’ve been asked to perform with pianists Allison Lovejoy and Kymry Esainko Saint Saens’ ‘Carnival of the Animals’ at Flower Piano in GG Park 3-4pm, September 17th.

On October 16th I’ll be at Headlands Center for the Arts in a solo performance in The Gym, 1pm in celebration of their 40th Anniversary. Honored to be invited to perform at our jewel across the bridge.

My neighbor, friend, and comrade in music David James continues his work on his beautiful SF Arts Commissioned MISSION REBELS. With the stellar GPS we’ll be presenting part II on October 16th, 7pm at luscious Glen Park’s Bird n’ Beckett Bookstore.

November 4th I’ll be at the Joe Henderson Lab at SF Jazz…..more soon about that gig!

Yours,

Beth
