Guitarist Will Bernard and clarinetist/singer Beth Custer have forged a remarkable, musical partnership that spans decades and is reflected in their release SKY. From the opening, wistful ‘Bear in Shamanic Transformation’ to the deep and doleful ‘The Curve’, from the Chopin-esque ‘Sweeping Staircase’ to the raunchy ‘Not Necessarily Stoned, ‘SKY’ features diverse compositional styles and a mastery of instruments. Sixteen tracks that pull the listener in and takes them on sweet, lush road trip.

Recorded by Jeff Cressman Studios in San Francisco, and mastered by Jeremy Goody of Oakland, produced by Bernard and Custer.  SKY layers growling bass and soaring Bb clarinets, unique and tender vocals mixed enticingly with Bernard’s rich palate of guitar sounds, including acoustic and electric lap steel, vintage acoustics and resonator, both clean and effect drenched.
